Step Aerobic

Regular exercise of the cardiovascular system has been proven to reduce heart disease, lower blood pressure, help weight loss and reduce the risk of many diseases. Based on this principle step aerobic combines traditional aerobic movements (See: Aerobic) with small steps up onto a purpose built step. Step aerobics are an extremely comprehensive aerobic and cardiovascular workout and are therefore only advised for persons with a good level of basic fitness. All fitness classes begin with warm up and stretching, before beginning the more intensive exercises. Classes likewise end with a cool down and developmental stretching.
